I've always had a love for animals.  Growing up, we had a dog named Jodi and when I was about 6 years old, our neighbor had an outside dog that I used to love to visit.  They even asked me to feed it while they were gone (I was supervised, of course).

     In 2003, I married the love of my life, Allison.  Having never grown up with animals, she wasn't exactly thrilled that I was bringing a cat (Kitty) to the marriage.  I knew she would change her mind.  She did.  Shortly after that, we went to the pound and adopted our first dog, Cosmo Kramer, who ended up being the love of HER life. ;-)

     Since that time, we have rescued 46 dogs and 8 cats.  We currently have 4 dogs and 2 cats of our own; (dogs) Annie, Starsky, Gracie and Piper (cats) Mickey, Elaine Benice and Milkshake.  We foster/volunteer with a local animal rescue group and regularly offer our support to numerous rescues and shelters.

     I have experience with all ages of dogs; from 12-weeks to 16 years old, and cats from 8-weeks to 17 years old.  I've cared for those as a hospice foster, those with disabilities and those needing insulin injections.  I've cared for up to 7 dogs at one time. I have also attended several animal behavioral training courses that were necessary, due to issues with certain dogs in our care.

     In 2020, I retired from a local manufacturing company, where I held the position of Quality Manager for over 22 years.  I consider myself fortunate and blessed to finally be able to do something I love, while bringing professionalism and my love of animals to this new opportunity!
