Do you offer boarding services? 

No.  All services are in the comfort of the client’s home.

How many days a week can J.A.C.S. Pet Care, LLC do visits?    

I can visit your pet(s) up to 7 days a week, if that is what you need. 

 

Is J.A.C.S. Insured?

Yes. J.A.C.S. is a fully insured company.

Is J.A.C.S. Bonded?

No. This is because I don't employ others to perform services. 

​

Can JACS supply a Criminal Background Report?

Yes. A current personal report is available for review. 

 

How many people work for J.A.C.S.? Who will be coming to my home?

It's just me, Scott.  There are no other employees.

Do I need an appointment? 

Yes, for all visits. Initially, I will visit your home prior to ever caring for your pet.  I will make every effort to ensure that your pet will accept me into your home while you aren't there.  I get very detailed information, so I know exactly how to care for your pets and your home while you are away.  The initial meet and greet is complimentary! 

 

How much notice do you need to set up services?

The first step is to set up the Initial Meeting.  Once that has been performed and all necessary items have been addressed, a 48-hour notice is appreciated.  Emergency visits are possible, as long as my schedule permits. 

 

Does J.A.C.S. do dog walks on Saturday and Sunday? 

Yes.  Dog walks are part of the 45-minute and Multiple 45-minute Visits, if requested (see Services page). 


Does my pet need to have a current rabies vaccination? 

Yes!  

 

Can J.A.C.S. keep my keys on file for future visits? 

Yes, that would be preferred.  The advantage to keeping your keys on file is that I can pet sit with much shorter notice, and you are not inconvenienced with meetings for key return and key pick up.  If you do not wish to keep your keys on file, a meeting will be scheduled to return your keys once you have returned home.  I have a strictly adhered-to hand-to-hand policy for the safety of your home.  This means no drop offs in mailboxes, under mats, etc.

How is the security of my keys maintained while in your possession? 

Your house key will be identified/tagged with a unique code, which will tie it to your home.  The coded key will be maintained under lock and key and your information will always be maintained separately.  In case of a lost key, I will notify you immediately.

Is it possible to schedule multiple visits and types per day? 

Yes.  Multiple visits can be scheduled individually at the indicated rate.

Can you transport my pet to the groomer or vet?

Unfortunately, unless they need transported due to an emergency while in my care, those are not services I provide.

What happens if my dog(s) won't accept you into our home, even after the initial meet and greet?

If I arrive at your home and feel I can't safely enter due to "guarding" issues, I will leave and immediately contact you, so that you can be aware and make other arrangements.

What happens if there is an emergency while you are caring for my pet(s)?

Obviously, in case of fire or other life-threatening situation, Emergency Services will be contacted first and I will make every reasonable effort to protect your pets. You will then be notified ASAP! Among the information I gather from you are additional emergency contacts, in the event you can't be reached.

Are there any circumstances where J.A.C.S. Pet Care, LLC may terminate service after the initial meet and greet?

I try to be as reasonable as possible.  However, if I determine that my safety may be at risk, I reserve the right to refuse or halt service.  Also, failure to pay without a justifiable reason will result in immediate termination of the Service Contract.  Repetitive cancellations may also result in termination of service (see Payments / Cancellations).

What is your service area and what if you don’t service my area?

If my schedule permits, I MAY still be able to schedule with you (additional fee may apply), or I may be able to direct you to a competent individual that may be able to assist you (see my Area of Coverage).


What are the payment requirements and what forms of payment do you accept?

What happens if I have to cancel a Visit or Stay?

I try to be as understanding as possible with unforeseen circumstances.

What happens if J.A.C.S. has to cancel a visit?

Please know that this will be a rarity and I will make every effort possible to avoid this.  In the event I can't make it, I will let you know ASAP, so that other arrangements can be made.

How will I know the visit or stay went well? 

Communication is a big part of my job.  I will keep you informed with photos sent to your phone, including any issues I may have detected. 
Of course, some clients don’t want anything sent because they may be at work or an important function.  In this case, I will respect this and can leave you a hand written note at home if you so choose.
